-Klaas Janssen *08.02.1832

Klaas Janssen Zeemann had a daughter with Epke Garrelts, Fenke Siebens Janssen. in 1852. See Rysum 2133.  The child died of tuberculosis in 1858.   Although no record has yet been found of him entering America, he married Mary Vortmann, also a German immigrant, in 1857 in Scott County Illinois.  In America, he used the name "John Seeman".  It is interesting to note that John uses one "N" at the end of his last name, and his brother Henry uses two "n" at the end of his name.  He lived most of the rest of his life in the Scott County area of Illinois and had three children who survived to adulthood.   He farmed for most of his life.  He died 17 May 1910 in Jacksonville, Morgan County, Illinois.
